Workshop in Thessaloniki: Effective Integration of Erasmus+ Project Outputs

An interesting two-day info day on “The effective integration of the outputs of an Erasmus+ project” was attended by the Regional Directorates of Education in Greece and Erasmus+ Promoters in Thessaloniki, on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 May 2025, at Aristotle University’s Research Dissemination Center (KEDEA).

The event was welcomed by  the Regional Director of Education of Central Macedonia Mr. Alexandros Koptsis, the Board Member of IKY and Professor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Mr. Panagiotis Seferlis, the General Director of IKY Mr. Angelos Giouvrekas and the Deputy Head of the Directorate for Special Programmes and International Scholarships of IKY, Ms. Paraskevi Afentaki.

The first day aimed to highlight good practices, experiences exchange and discussion on the impact of Erasmus+ projects in the Greek education system.

In addition, presentations were made on the following topics: “Impact of Erasmus+ Projects: definitions and tools”, by Mrs. Fani Stylianidou, KA1 Project Manager of the School Education Sector of IKY and Impact Officer.

The event concluded with a panel discussion on “Opportunities and Challenges of integrating Erasmus+ results” with the participation of teachers and school principals.

The panel discussion was attended by: Ms. Maria Dagli (Mygdonia Secondary School), Ms. Eleftheria Papadimitriou Dodouzis (6th Experimental Intercultural Primary School of Eleftherio Cordelio), Mr. Apostolos Karafillidis (Principal of the 5th Vocational High School of Veria, Imathia) and was coordinated by Mrs. Krystallia Staikou – Ambassador of European Programmes of the regional Directorate of Education in Central Macedonia as well as Mrs. Elina Mavrogiorgou, Coordinator of the Communication and Valorization Unit Erasmus+ of IKY.

On the second day, presentations of the Erasmus+ programme for Key Action 1 and Accreditation were made by the coordinator of the School Education Sector, Ms Maria Adamopoulou and the Project Manager of KA1, Ms Maria Karambatsou.

This was followed by a discussion on Erasmus+ programme management issues with European Programmes Ambassadors in Greece and a Round Table with the Regional Directors of Education on strategic impact issues related to the Erasmus+ programme at regional level.

Finally, it should be noted that the event was carried out on the initiative of the Regional Directorate of Education of Central Macedonia, in cooperation with the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports.
