Dissemination Event for the EPALE Electronic Platform Held at the University of the Aegean

Nea Ionia, 18/10/2024

PRESS RELEASE

The series of scheduled information events for the EPALE electronic platform has been completed in Mytilene, as part of its dissemination to educational institutions in the Adult Education and Vocational Education and Training (VET) sectors.

More specifically, IKY representatives visited the University of the Aegean in Mytilene on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, where they provided a detailed presentation on the operation of the EPALE platform, its tools, and the benefits of its use. The event aimed to enhance the visibility of organizations, Erasmus+ projects, and expand collaborations with other institutions.

During the event, IKY representatives and participants had the opportunity to connect online with the conference of representatives from other National Support Services (CSS) managing the EPALE European project, discussing the purpose of the meeting.

It is worth noting that the EPALE project for the 2022-2024 period focused on coal phase-out regions in Greece, supporting workers from these areas through educational initiatives aimed at mitigating economic and social impacts caused by the transition away from lignite dependency. Additionally, efforts were made to attract stakeholders as potential beneficiaries of Erasmus+ funding.

The EPALE project results will be presented at the final conference organized by the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), as the National Support Service for EPALE, on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Thessaloniki.
