EPALE 2025 – 2026: New Project Presentation

The State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) acting as the National Support Service of the EPALE platform in Greece, held the Kick off event of the new project in Athens, on the 14th of May 2025. The new project focuses on dissemination and exploitation plan of the EPALE 2025 -2026 platform, as well as on “Upgrading skills and retraining (Upskilling & Re-skilling) of the agricultural population in Sustainable Agriculture”.

Members of the EPALE team presented the objectives of the new project to the stakeholders, the benefits of using the EPALE platform, as well as the cheance to use the platform in order to disseminate Erasmus+ projects’ results.

Guest speakers were Mr. Georgios Tsoumanis, Head of ELGO Dimitra Centre in Kyparissia, who shared the experience of ELGO Dimitra’s participation in Erasmus+ mobility projects, and Mr. Dimitrios Bilalis, Professor of Agriculture and Organic Agriculture and Director of the Agricultural Laboratory of the Agricultural University of Athens, who referred to the new trends in sustainable agriculture and climate change.

In addition, during the event, the presentation of the declaration of the ΕΑΕΑ on adult education in the 21st century took place by Mr. Georgios Koulaouzidis, Associate Professor of EAP and Vice President of ΕΑΕΑ. Moreover, the EPALE Ambassadors of the new project were presented, gave practical advice on how to use the EPALE platform and participated in a discussion on the benefits of using the platform to enhance networking with foreign education and training institutions in Greece.

The new EPALE ambassadors for the 2025-2026 period are Mr. Georgios Koulaouzidis, Ms Viktoria Apostolou – Director of SAEK Glyfada, Ms Areti Vouraki –  Erasmus+ Ambassador in the Regional Department of Primary and Secondary Education of Crete, Mr. Nikolaos Mallios – Director of Education and Training Structures of Domokos Detention Centre and Urania Pavli – Professor in Thessaly University, Department of Agriculture, Plant Production and Rural Environment.
