Programme “Award of prizes to groups of students coming first or excelling in International Competitions”– Year 2025

ANNOUNCEMENT

CALL FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS UNDER THE PROGRAM “AWARD GRANTS TO STUDENT TEAMS WHO HAVE WON OR ACHIEVED RECOGNITION IN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS-YEAR 2025”

The State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), in implementation of Article 2 of Joint Ministerial Decision No. 69893/Z1/21-06-2024 by the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance and the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports (Government Gazette 3661/B/26-06-2024), announces the implementation of a program for awarding student teams who have won or achieved recognition in international competitions in the year 2025, as follows:

Eligible to participate are student teams from Greek Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) who have won or achieved recognition in international competitions between January 1, 2025, and December 15, 2025. The application must be signed by the team’s academic supervisor, using the special application form available on the IKY website, and submitted to IKY through the Secretariat of the relevant Department.

The following documents must be submitted along with the application:

  • A copy of the award certificate.
  • A confirmation letter from the competition organizer, listing the full names of the distinguished team members as well as the location and date of the competition. If a ranking was achieved, the position obtained by the team or its members must also be stated.
  • A document describing the competition, its significance and level of difficulty, as well as information about the distinguished team.

The application period starts from the date of this announcement, with a deadline of December 15, 2025.

Applications submitted by the respective Secretariats will be reviewed collectively, for the purpose of comparative evaluation, by the Administrative Board of IKY.

The award consists of a one-time gross payment of €500.00 per participating student, which will be deposited directly by IKY into the bank account of each eligible student.
