The first Info Day dedicated to the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe (EPALE) was held on Tuesday, 21 May 2024, in Heraklion, Crete.
The State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), as National Support Service of the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe – EPALE in Greece, will organise four (4) Info Days on EPALE as well as training workshops on Erasmus+ for representatives of adult education and Vocational Education and Training bodies.
The purpose of the events is to support and inform the workforce of the areas of Greece which have become lignite-free, prepare them for their transition to the post-lignite eras and create opportunities for retraining and skills reorientation.
The event was attended by Ms. Stavroula Sotiropoulou, Head of the Unit of European Union Programmes of IKY, as well as by the Director of the Higher Vocational Training School of Glyfada and representative of the EPALE platform ambassadors, Ms Victoria Apostolou, who presented the benefits of the platform.
