An international seminar (Training and Cooperation Activity – TCA) of the Erasmus+ Programme titled “Erasmus+ Aiming Higher: Mediterranean Bridges Across Africa and Europe for Shared Academic Pathways” was held from 20 to 23 April 2026 in Tunisia. The event was organised under the coordination of the Italian National Agency (INDIRE), in cooperation with the Mediterranean countries network MedNet, in which the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) also participates as the Erasmus+ National Agency for the fields of Education and Training.
The aim of the seminar was to strengthen cooperation in the field of Higher Education between Europe and Africa, as well as to promote new partnerships and innovative forms of education.
Approximately 170 representatives from universities and higher education institutions from 12 European and 16 African countries participated in the event, with the objective of exchanging good practices and developing joint internationalisation strategies.
Representatives of IKY/National Agency actively participated in the seminar proceedings, contributing to the dialogue on enhancing student and staff mobility, as well as promoting new collaborations in the field of higher education.
