IKY promotes the Use of the EPALE Platform in Erasmus+ Projects through Information and Training Activities

Significant Interest in IKY’s Online Information Event and Training Workshop on the Use of the EPALE Platform for the Design and Implementation of European Projects

The State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), acting as the National Support Service for the EPALE Electronic Platform, organized its second information event on the EPALE platform, along with a training workshop on its use in Erasmus+ programmes, within the framework of the implementation of the EPALE 2025–2026 project.

During the online information event, held on Tuesday, 2 June 2026, representatives of the EPALE project team presented the project and its objectives to participants. The event also featured EPALE Ambassador Mr Nikolaos Mallios, Director of the Education and Training Structures of the Domokos Correctional Facility, who provided a detailed presentation of the EPALE platform, its functionalities, and the benefits it offers for the effective dissemination of project results and the networking of organisations.

Particular interest was also generated by the training workshop organized by IKY at the Technical University of Crete in Chania on Friday, 5 June 2026. Specifically, Ms Areti Vouraki, EPALE Ambassador and Deputy Promoter of European Programmes at the Regional Directorate of Education of Crete, provided practical guidance on the use of the EPALE platform. In addition, Ms Ourania Pavli, EPALE Ambassador and Associate Professor at the Department of Agriculture, Crop Production and Rural Environment of the University of Thessaly, delivered a detailed presentation on sustainable agriculture and the integration of this thematic area into Erasmus+ project proposals.

Subsequently, members of the EPALE project team conducted thematic workshops on the application process for Short-Term Mobility Projects (KA122) and Small-Scale Partnerships (KA210) in the fields of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Adult Education.

On behalf of IKY, opening remarks were delivered by Ms Paraskevi Afentaki, Deputy Head of the Directorate of Special Programmes and International Scholarships, who emphasized the importance of integrating the EPALE platform into Erasmus+ projects and encouraged participants to become active users of the platform, making full use of its capabilities in the design and implementation of future projects.
