ANNOUNCEMENT
The European Commission continues the initiative of the European Innovative Teaching Award (EITA), which aims to highlight outstanding teaching practices implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme and to recognise the work of teachers and schools at national level. The Award, launched in 2021, is granted annually throughout the 2021–2027 programming period.
From 2025 onwards, the Award has been merged with the European Language Label (ELL). EITA and ELL address a common target group, focusing on strengthening European cooperation among teachers and trainers through Erasmus+. These are non-monetary awards, aiming to enhance the attractiveness of the teaching profession and, more specifically, to recognise teachers’ participation in successful Erasmus+ projects, as well as their results. The merger of the two awards, with the inclusion of ELL as one of the EITA categories, is expected to increase their visibility.
